The philosophical basis of Novalis Institute are the teachings of Rudolf Steiner, the founder of anthroposophy.
Our curriculum is provided by local and national faculty who provide a program of study that balances experiential learning, artistic practice, intellectual development and academic study. Our intention is to enhance the educational experience through the vital context of a community that is developed as participants learn together. We offer year-long courses that meet once a month, as well as short term classes, seminars and workshops.
For participants who seek Waldorf teacher certification, Novalis Institute offers all the courses typically required as preparation for teacher training coursework (see “Foundation Studies”). Program courses are scheduled to accommodate the lives of working adults and parents. The Foundation Studies program coursework can be completed in two to three years of part time study.
